Knox transplants welcome in Columbus

Columbus, Ga., and the Valley are eagerly awaiting the arrival or our new friends and neighbors from Fort Knox.
All over Columbus you can see the preparations in progress, as companies rush to finish hotels, apartments, schools, and homes to give you a proper Columbus welcome. 
Put up the packing tape, and pick up the Turret. Each week I will be bringing you information on
Columbus and the Valley area. I will not bore you with the mindless data such as population (hint, y’all might put us over 200,000) or other city facts. Instead I will bring you the inside scoop—like restaurants, shopping, recreation, family life, and nightlife.
I am a realtor in Columbus and a former military spouse, so I know what you have in store for you. I have lived in Columbus for 13 years, and want everyone from Fort Knox to fall in love with this town the way I did.
We welcome you, and we know you will love it here. After all, there is no rush hour traffic, plenty of fried food, tons of history, and really sweet tea.
